Tanzania Institute of Rail Technology (TIRTEC) charges tuition fees for its programs. For the 2024/2025 academic year, the tuition fee is TZS 1,000,000 per year for all National Technical Awards (NTA) levels (4, 5, and 6) (Tanzania Institute of Rail Technology).
In addition to the tuition fee, there are other mandatory fees payable directly to the institute:
Registration Fee: TZS 20,000
Stationery: TZS 55,000
Student Identity Card: TZS 10,000
TIRTEC Examination Fee: TZS 40,000
Library Membership Fee: TZS 10,000
Certificates Fee & Transcript: TZS 40,000
TIRSO Fee: TZS 10,000
NACTE Quality Assurance: TZS 15,000
Sports, Games & Recreation: TZS 10,000
The total fees payable to the institute per year are:
NTA Level 4: TZS 1,230,000
NTA Level 5: TZS 1,190,000
NTA Level 6: TZS 1,210,000 (Tanzania Institute of Rail Technology).
These fees are payable annually and are consistent across all NTA levels.
